ProPath is excited to highlight a high-impact internship opportunity at SBM Offshore, a global leader in deepwater ocean infrastructure. Headquartered in the Netherlands and with operations worldwide, SBM Offshore drives innovation in energy production and sustainability through its "True. Blue. Transition." strategy. This Data Science Internship in Monaco places you within the company’s Digital Development and Innovation team, where you will work on data-driven solutions that support both operational excellence and energy transition goals.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist with data gathering, cleaning, and preparation for machine learning applications
• Support the implementation of statistical models and machine learning algorithms
• Participate in the evaluation and refinement of predictive models
• Create visualizations and document methods and results for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Help maintain and improve internal tools for data processing and model monitoring
• Collaborate with team members in Agile environments using tools such as Git and Azure DevOps

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Engineering program in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar
• Strong foundation in statistics, linear algebra, and programming
• Proficiency in Python and libraries like NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, and Matplotlib
• Experience working with time series, forecasting, or signal processing is a plus
• Familiarity with Git and basic machine learning concepts
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Fluent in spoken and written English
