ProPath is excited to introduce an opportunity at Human Technopole (HT), a premier interdisciplinary life science research institute based in Milan. The Neurogenomics Centre at HT focuses on the molecular mechanisms behind neuropsychiatric and neurological diseases. Under the Testa research group, the intern will contribute to pioneering research on brain disorders, with a particular emphasis on disease modelling related to the CHD2 gene, cerebellar development, and neurodevelopmental disorders. This program offers access to cutting-edge technologies, transformative facilities, and an international research environment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Culture of cortical and cerebellar brain organoids
• Participation in imaging experiments on live and fixed samples
• Participation in molecular biology experiments
• Contribution to bioinformatics analyses of transcriptomic data

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology
• Fluent English communication skills
• Previous experience with nucleic acids extraction and cell culture
• Preferred experience with R or Python programming
• Preferred prior use of microscopes
• Strong organizational, social, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
